The interesting thing is that many of the people switching to Mac OSX are Linux users. That’s right, not Windows users but Linux users. Why? Well, because Mac OSX is what most serious Linux users want from Linux, unfortunately sans the open source. It’s built on a Unix kernel and has all the standard libraries and is relatively open (just not the source) and other than graphics it is reasonably fast.
